My Visual Studio 2010 presentation for ICC

Thursday, December 18 2008

Just finished up a presentation on Visual Studio 2010 for ICC's MS Dev special interest group.  A good time was had by all.  I used the card deck that is in the Training Kit, and added a few salient slides.  We had a lot of coversation about Linq, WPF and the lifecycle integration.

My slide deck can be downloaded here, and I also wanted to post a few links that I mentioned in the talk.

I hope to get some comments back - feel free to email me, especially if they are bad.  (heh)  Thanks to all for attending!

Hi Bill. Thanks for the presentation. I enjoyed it. It was quite interesting - my first look at VS2010.

I was watching some of the demos on channel9 last night and the "class doesn't exist, do you want to create it" feature worked in C#. You must have just have had bad demo karma. I think they were using the same CTP.

Also, I thought you said the download was over 30GB. The Microsoft Download site says 286.0 MB - 7286.0 MB. That would still take quite a while for me to download over my DSL, but its not quite as bad. I was able to download the 3GB+ VS2008 ISO in an evening.
